Note down 17th January in your new diary to make sure you book seats in plenty of time. As usual it will be in Humphrey Perkins Community Centre, Cotes Road, Barrow upon Soar starting at 7.00pm. As you enter you will be offered a free glass of bubbly or fruit juice to get you in the mood. The Hall will be decked with beautiful flower arrangements and the players will look suitably festive. Apart from the three favourite must-haves: Blue Danube Waltzes, Thunder and Lightning Polka and Radetsky March, we have yet another new programme for you including the Mit vergnugen Polka by Eduard Strauss (it means ‘with pleasure’), the Du and Du waltz by Johann Strauss II (means ‘thou and thou’) and ‘The Fairies of the Rhine’ by Offenbach. The concert will start at 7.0pm and tickets cost £12, £11 for concessions and £3 for accompanied children under 16...
